Centipede

Giant centipedes are somewhat common here on Margarita Island (and Venezuela), mostly in rural areas. This adult centipede is about a foot long, and about an inch or so wide. I had to bend over to see it because it was hanging upside down on the top screen of the aquarium cage (which made the animal cage appear to be empty of critters at first glance).
