Monkey in tree

This photo shows one of the monkeys that was leashed to a large tree in the main area of the zoo. Tour groups that come to Tropical Labyrinth are served refreshments. When we were there, slices of pinappple, watermelon, and mango were served near this tree. Miguel, the resident capuchin monkey in this picture, is all too happy to eat some of the fruit also and dispose of the rinds for you! He also drank some coconut milk from the palm of one of the animal caretakers of the zoo. His leash was pretty long, so he could scamper all over the tree, and even swing from it like Tarzan.
