Pythons in cage

These two pythons were quite large, about 8 to 9 feet long. I think the snakes once were kept as pets (though are native to Venezuela). The zoo and animal park at Laberinto Tropical specializes in caring for exotic pets that were abandoned by their owners (or the owners no longer wanted them) and have become dependant upon humans for survival. One python in the pen (the larger snake in the water) had a large belly as if it had recently eaten something large such as a whole rabbit or chicken.
